Rectilinear shutter conveyors
These conveyors are particular suitable for the handling of extremely heavy, hot abrasive or big-size material.
IThe main benefits offered by a transport on metallic slats consist in the possibility of designing rectilinear belts as well as belts with positive or negative curves and in the easy replacement of the slats or of damaged sections of the chain.
The range of metallic slat conveyors offered by OMT Biella Srl can be summarised as follows:
TM. The TM conveyor is mainly made of:
- Press-bent sheet sides of 4/5 mm thickness
- Internal cross-pieces to join the sides, which are screwed to the sides themselves
- Upper and lower guides of the transport chains, which are screwed for their easy replacement during maintenance
- Blades mounted on galvanised sheet chain of high thickness
- Transmission shafts from C40 steel or hardened and tempered steel with a minimum diameter of 50 mm
- Chain transmission gears held by ring supports mounted on plates
- Drive unit of swing type
- Transport speed of 10/15 metres/minute
TMRGN. TMRG conveyor is equipped with metallic blades coated with black anti-slipping rubber and in addition to the benefits described above, also presents the characteristics of the transport on wheels and that of handling dusty and humid materials.
TMRGN is mainly composed of:
- Press-bent sheet sides of 4/5 mm thickness
- Internal cross-pieces screwed to the sides to join the sides themselves
- Chain upper and lower guides that are screwed for their easy replacement during maintenance
- Blades mounted on galvanised sheet chain of high thickness
- Covering of the metallic slats obtained with anti-slipping black rubber plates and internal polyester textile cloth
- Polizene guides located in the central part inside the conveyor
- Transmission shafts from C40 steel or hardened and tempered steel with a minimum diameter of 50 mm
- Chain transmission gears held by ring supports mounted on plates
- Gears on the transmission shaft installed on double sealed bearing, protected with a cut flange sheet in the middle of the drive unit of swing type
- Transport speed of 10/15 metres/minute
- Electric panel with inverter to control speed and initial transmission racks
TT. Designed for the transport of medium-heavy loads in the recycling section, for example for handling solid wastes, it is composed of:
- Press-bent sheet sides with inspection and cleaning doors
- Internal cross-pieces to joint the sides
- Upper and lower guides for the transport chains
- Blades installed on the chains, from press-bent sheet of high thickness and high resistance profile
- Chain transmission gears held by ring supports mounted on plates
- High diameter transmission shafts hardened and tempered steel
- Drive unit of customised type
- Transport speed of 10/15 metres/minute
- Electric panel with inverter to control speed and initial transmission racks
Depending on the sized of the slats used, the TT conveyor is divided into TT100 and TT125

TM INMEC. The metallic slat conveyor has more or less the same features of TM conveyor. However thanks to special characteristics like its stoutness, it is particularly suited for the mechanical industry.
