Orthogonal transferers systems

OMT Biella Srl offers two types of orthogonal transfer systems: orthogonal conveyor with cylinder and chain and belt transfer units.

ORTHOGONAL CONVEYORS WITH CYLINDER

Suitable to transport material from a line of TRRM roll conveyors, they are normally used to transfer material between two parallel lines or to reject a package from the transport line.

Main components:

  • Sheet case containing mechanical parts, to be fastened to the TRRM conveyor
  • Moving truck made from laser-cut press-bent sheet for transfer ball bushings
  • Ground concrete bars with 25 mm diameter
  • Shaped blade in different forms
  • Guards of all moving parts 
  • Pneumatic cylinder
  • Solenoid valve with double solenoid control 
  • Cylinder and solenoid valve with pneumatic connection

CHAIN/BELT TRANSFER UNITS

These transfer units, installed between linear conveyors rolls, are designed to lift and move by 90° the material on the linear conveyor; usually the material is transferred to another perpendicular line.

These transfer units are particularly useful to transfer fragile packages or when the main line requires quick working rhythms.

Main components:

  • Supporting enbloc rod system made from laser-cut press-bent sheet of high thickness
  • Adjustable feet fastened to the main rod
  • Upper moving enbloc rod, keyed to the lower rod by means of ball guides that ensure its up and down movement as well as its positioning
  • Material transfer unit made of belts, snub pulleys, belt control shaft complete with drive pulleys keyed through conical keying, polizene sliding guides for the belts 
  • Pneumatic cylinder with solenoid valve and position control sensors
