Conveyor belt N
N conveyor belt has been part of OMT Biella production since 1973 and though originally used for the handling of wool and cotton fibres, is also suited to transport loose material.
N conveyor is composed of:
-
Structured and modular carpentry that permits to change the sizes of the conveyor after its first installation
-
Supporting internal bars in galvanised sheet that favours the belt movement. These bars also serve to joint the sides thus rendering the conveyor stout nastro stesso. Tali sgabelli fungono anche come elemento di giunzione dei laterali, donando quindi robustezza al nastro trasportatore
-
Powered idle rollers to drive the belt with 140 mm diameter (necessary in order to not damage the metallic joint of the belt during normal rotation). These rollers made from hardened and tempered steel with conical body to ensure the belt centering during transport, are installed on oscillating supports outside the plates for easy maintenance
-
Driving plates and counter plates to support the rollers complete with openings for belt internal cleaning. The internal counter plate is equipped with an opening for a quick removal of the roller for extraordinary maintenance works
-
Drive unit keyed to moving plate of the drive roller. This is a worm gearmotor; the conveyor structure enables the insertion of the drive unit in each of the four available corners, which permits future changes
- PVC or polyurethane textile cloth belt, endless or with hinge
- Linear gasket for fibre containment that are screwed to favour their easy replacement
The N belt family also includes:

There is also another model of N conveyor equipped with a metal detector. For certain productions it is very important that the products do not contain any metallic rests (for example in the food industry or waste recycling); in these plants the N model with metal detector allows detecting any metallic rest inside the material conveyed thus ensuring a totally metal free production in the subsequent processing phases.
